aleksander Bach

Aleksander Bach was born as a son of a polish photographer in Lublin, Poland. He emigrated with his parents from Poland to Germany in the early 1980’s. After his first lessons in shooting in the 1990’s, he studied at the Institute for Music and Media in Düsseldorf until 2006, where he obtained a graduation in Audio and Video Engineering. He also studied the piano at the Robert-Schumann University of Music in Düsseldorf (2000-2006).

After shooting several music videos and a music documentary in China and Japan in 2005 he studied post graduate advertising film at the famous film academy Baden-Württemberg / Ludwigsburg.

In the years 2008 - 2010 he has directed commercials for such brands as Nike, Orange and Mercedes and has been awarded several times, amongst others at the YOUNG DIRECTOR AWARD 2008 and 2009 in Cannes for his films for Orange and the Red Cross. Aleksander’s films mix narrative storytelling with an emotional touch and a strong cinematic style.
