Directer by bryan Buckley
Commercial director All Star Bryan Buckley is THE go-to guy for Superbowl ads with huge celebrities, and one of the few directors allowed to push the envelop on big budget American commercials. In 2009 he was named Director of the Decade by Adweek and in 2010 Best Ads on TV named him #1 Director in the World.
The New York based director was born in Massachusetts in 1963 and started his career as a creative and commercial director at Radical Media. In 1997 Bryan founded Hungry Man with two partners, Hank Perlman and Steve Orent. He made his mark with ESPN's celebrated "This is Sports Center" campaign and has since directed every style of commercial imaginable and received about every honor in the business.
Bryan is best known for attracting A-list talent to all his projects and poking fun at American pop culture. He can get movie and TV stars, sports celebrities and even the odd puppet to play satires of their public personas for the benefit of brands like Master Card, Orange, Microsoft, Axe, Dr.Pepper, Carreerbuilder.com and many more. Some of his recent hits have starred Jerry Seinfeld, Will Ferrell, Martin Scorsese, Bill Gates, Nicole Kidman and Hugh Hefner. He’s also very good with animals.
Although a veteran in the industry, Bryan is still a vanguard in his medium, challenging stereotypes, innovating with new technologies and pushing the boundaries of advertising in the brave new world of user generated content. To this day, his viral film “Welcome to the Doghouse” for JC Penny is one of the most successful ever made, with over 50 Million hits globally (and counting).
