A magical film for Dior, starring Charlize Theron, Marilyn Monroe, Grace Kelly and Marlene Dietrich, marks the return to advertising of one of the great names of French cinema, Jean-Jacques Annaud.

Jean-Jacques Annaud began his career as a commercial director in the 80’s directing over 500 films over the years. He crossed over to fiction with internationally renowned films: Quest for Fire (1981), The Name of the Rose (1986), The Bear (1988), The Lover (1991), Wings of Courage (1995), Seven Years in Tibet (1997), Enemy at the Gates (2001), Two Brothers (2004).

Passionate about travel and open spaces, Jean-Jacques’s films all have an amazing cinematographic dimension and scale. He has also worked with many stars: Brad Pitt, Sean Connery and Jude Law, to name a few who also go back and forth between fiction and commercials.

His latest film, Black Gold, starring Antonio Banderas, Tahar Rahim and Freida Pinto is an epic journey taking place in the Arab States in the 1930’s.
