toben Seymour

Born in Wisconsin in 1980, Toben Seymour started making puppets in grade school. During his studies at USC’s School of Cinematic Arts in Los Angeles, he made low-budget music video for local bands. Making up in creativity what they lacked in means, his first videos went on to compete at SXSW and Clermont-Ferrand festivals.
Toben went on to direct for such artists as Nora Jones, Moby, The Willowz, Herman Dune, Naïve New Beaters, Alphabeat and many others. Accolades soon followed with his work featured in Anthem Magazine, American Cinematographer, Modziq, Dazed and Confused, and on White Canvas.
A narrative director with a gentle and benevolent perspective Toben brings a contemporary twist on in-camera effects, making fresh and playful films that keep the audience watching…and participating.
