The Future is Slow Coming
Directed by james Lees
James Lees quickly established himself as one of the UK's brightest filmmaking talents and leading short film directors with his very first short film The Apology Line. The film was in Official Selection at Sundance and won numerous international Best Film awards including a nomination at the European Film Academy Awards. Since then short film commissions by both Channel 4 and the BBC have been equally lauded, leading to further awards, screenings at over 100 festivals worldwide with regular festival guest invitations and Channel 4's Britdoc naming his short film Pockets as one of the 'Top Ten Best Short Documentaries Ever Made'.
Off the back of his short film success James very quickly established himself as a commercial and music video director, working with stars such as Emma Watson and Shakira, bands like Two Door Cinema Club and clients as diverse as the BBC, Converse and Bacardi. SHOTS profiled James as a New Director and named his BBC Science Fiction Season spot as HotShot of the Week.
This summer he is to direct his latest short film 'Ending'.
