Stéphane Barbato

Trained as an artistic director at the Arts Appliqués in Marseille, as a screenwriter at the INCA in Avignon, at the National School of Photography in Arles, then as an actor's director at Alain Prioul's classes in Paris, his career as a director began under the best auspices with Mr. Ennio Morricone, who agreed to compose the original music for his first medium-length film: PLAY THE GAME.
The film was selected in many international festivals (Los Angeles City of Angels Lights, and won a dozen awards including best director and best European film at the IFCT Awards New York).

But that's just the beginning. Stéphane Barbato directed about fifty commercials, many of which won awards: Umbro Football (Cristal de la réalisation), "Insoutenable" film for road safety (Lion d'Or at Cannes 2011, n°1 in the Youtube 2010 charts, most viewed film on the internet).

He explores other fields of expression including RV with the Cockatoo Spritz experience for StarVR in 2016 or the Mugshots installation at the 2018 Lyon Biennale. Finally, as a screenwriter, he has developed several fictions and series projects for different streaming platforms.
